APAN50 was held virtually in Hong Kong from the 3rd to 7th August 2020. The local organising committee consisted of members from the Joint Universities Computer Centre (JUCC) and were assisted by APAN.
The conference was held over 5 days which consisted of keynotes, plenary sessions and workshops. To substitute the loss of a face to face meeting that allows for extensive networking amongst its delegates, APAN partnered with VirBELA as a social interaction platform.
The overall conference garnered about 660 participants.
